Ready to ride
When Chris saw my outfit, he said I looked ready to go horseback riding. I definitely agree with him, because my jeans and boots combo look reminiscent of what jumper riders wear. Speaking of riding, I MISS IT SO MUCH! For those of you who don't know, I started horseback riding (hunter/jumpers) in high school but stopped partway through college. I wish I could afford it, and I wish I had the time to start riding again. I keep telling myself that it will happen again someday! (You know, when I have a career...)
I have to admit, I'm running out of creative juices when it comes to putting together outfits. The cold weather came fast and hard and it's given me zero inspiration. It's been taking me extra long to decide what to wear each day. Bleh. I don't even have that many outfit ideas saved right now which is how I keep going when I'm running low on inspiration. It doesn't help that taking outfit photos in the cold is no fun! I might look like I'm toasty warm, but I'm actually not—I threw my down coat on as quickly as I could after taking photos. I do actually like this outfit, though; I had been wanting to pull out my asymmetrical cardigan again. I wasn't sure if layering a long-sleeved shirt under it would work, but it did! I love the blue-grey color with the pink gingham. I originally had planned to wear one of my pairs of high-rise denim with the shirt and cardigan, but I'm glad I went with white denim instead; it's a bit unexpected and more fun than the typical blue denim I normally wear this time of year.
