Furry new year
Happy 2016! I can't believe another year has come and gone. I swear time flies faster now that I'm older. Before I know it, I'm going to turn 30...and then it'll be 2020...what even?!
Anyway, I hope you all had wonderful nights last night! We had a very low-key New Year's Eve; I was the only one to make it to midnight, though I did kind of wake up Chris for the countdown. This was the earliest I've ever experienced New Year's since I'm on the east coast! It was cool to actually watch the ball drop in NYC LIVE! The rest of the country just gets replays of it, haha. ;)
Today I wanted to share an outfit I wore this past weekend. It features two new wardrobe additions, which you probably recognize if you read my latest budget post! It was an extremely cold day; I'm not even sure the high temperature cracked 20°F (I think it stayed around 15°F). This coat is definitely not a middle-of-winter coat, but I layered a Uniqlo Heattech shirt under a cashmere sweater to add warmth and it wasn't too bad. I couldn't resist wearing my faux fur scarf with it; Chris and my family kept remarking about how it looked like the scarf was part of the coat. Also, isn't it weird how much my hair matches the faux fur?
