Season Remix: Chambray dress
Happy February and Groundhog Day, friends! I'm excited for another installment of my Season Remix mini series I started a year ago; last year, I remixed my pink gingham shirt, my rainbow-striped dress, and my old bright lace skirt. I thought it'd be fun to do it again this year, so I picked out some new candidates that have yet to see the light of day this fall and winter.
First up is my sleeveless chambray shirtdress that I picked up from H&M last summer. Even though it is chambray, the fabric is light and airy, and it lends itself as more of a spring/summer dress—no surprises there. I knew that it could be worn for winter, though! I layered up with a cozy chunky knit cardigan, fleece-lined tights, ankle boots, and a matching belt. (I also layered a long-sleeved Heattech tee by Uniqlo under the dress to keep out the chill.)
Last summer, I wore this dress on two different weekend outings—once for a walk to the grocery store and once for a walk around downtown. How would you remix this dress for winter? How do you like this look? :) Another option I considered was layering a cropped sweater over it, but I wanted to try something different since that's my go-to!
