Cropped or not
I originally planned on wearing this sweater with my high-rise jeans without any shirt underneath. I was going to channel my inner '90s kid and tie this flannel shirt around my waist. Turned out, I didn't like how it looked so much. I was hesitant to layer a long-sleeved shirt under this sweater because I thought it would end up looking lumpy, but I was pleasantly surprised! Way to go, cropped cashmere sweater. You can do more than I thought you could. ;) As an added bonus, it was warm enough to be out sans coat...and it was almost even too warm for a flannel shirt + cashmere sweater combination.
I still would love to wear a cropped sweater alone with my high-rise jeans at some point. I've already worn a cropped tee with these jeans, so a sweater seems like a no-brainer. I just need to find a sweater that will cover all of my midriff (or, you know, actually gain some motivation and tone my abs a bit, haha). Another problem is the fact that now that I'm getting older, I feel less comfortable showing skin. The cropped top trend is one I didn't think I would get into because of that, but when I discovered that they don't all have to be belly-baring, I've learned to love them!
