Two bloggers, one garment: Chambray shirt
The last post in this installment features Toyosi of Unmapped Territory. We styled our chambray shirts—true closet staples! Unlike what happened with Nicole, I actually have met Toyosi in person; she stayed in the same cabin as me during Texas Style Council CAMP! I was shocked to learn at the time that she was a senior in high school. Guys, she's killing at life already. She's currently finishing up her freshman year at NYU while also blogging on the side and making me and everyone else incredibly jealous of her chic New York-influenced style. I also love seeing her photo diaries of fun places around the city. Seriously, guys. You need to follow her if you don't already! I wish I was this cool when I was her age, haha! :)
I went in a little bit of a different direction than you may have expected. I had to try layering a structured dress over this shirt, and this black dress fit the bill perfectly. I previously wore this dress in the fall with a thin sweater under it. I also have a navy dress and a cobalt dress that would have worked for this look, but I thought that either of those would've made the look a bit too blue. A fun necklace and my burgundy loafers completed the look perfectly!
I love Toyosi's simple look featuring a cozy marled grey cardigan. It's an ideal look for a college or graduate student—put-together yet extremely comfortable. You know I'm all about outfits like that! Make sure you check out her full post and leave her some love, and I hope you enjoyed this mini series and perhaps added a new blog to your favorites! :)
