A fall frolic in the City of Trees
Hello, hello! I'm so excited to switch seasons and share my fall outfits. :) Wanna know a secret about this one? I actually wore it way back on September 3rd! I ventured up to Boise for the long Labor Day weekend, and it was like I had suddenly time-traveled into fall. I took it as an opportunity to wear and shoot one of my fall looks; I mean, how could I not?!
I jumped at the opportunity to work with Earth Brands again and feature shoes from their F/W 2016 collection. You may remember my white 'Seaside' sandals that I received earlier this year or the beige 'Morolo' sandals I received spring 2015. I ended up picking out two pairs this time around (see how I styled the other pair on Wednesday!). As soon as I saw these navy 'Tolo' flats by Earthies, I knew exactly how I was going to style them first: with my lace-up striped blouse from LOFT messily tucked into my denim skirt from Grana. To add some dimension and avoid a totally monochrome look, I added my burgundy floppy hat. I'm so in love with how it came together! I'm surprised by how much I like the textured suede on the flats. It's a little bit of a different look than smooth leather. If you're interested in the 'Tolo' flats yourself, I ended up going a half size up in them. :)
Earth Brands recently started a new campaign on social media called #WhereOnEarthRU. In the spirit of that campaign, I made my way to the lush garden in front of the iconic Boise Train Depot to shoot these photos. The depot has an amazing view looking straight into downtown Boise and the capitol. It's a very popular spot for weddings, as you can probably imagine! I had so much fun shooting these and love how they highlight my hometown. I'll be showing a different location in my post on Wednesday featuring my second pair of shoes!
