Puffy parka

Do I look cold to you? ;) The unseasonable warmth we were having sadly came to an end. I try really hard to like and even enjoy each season, including winter, but I just hate being cold so much! I suppose the good thing about it being cold is that I get to indulge in warm drinks and wrap myself up in my thickest sweaters and softest blankets...and stay inside. But there is this part of life that I can't ignore: work. And that requires being outside for (short) periods of time. (And, you know, sometimes it's nice to get outside every once in a while...)

When it comes to winter coats, there's one that rules them all: puffy coats, usually down-filled. I have a very old puffy down coat by The North Face that I wear regularly in the winter, and last year (by that I mean, in December 2016), I picked up this puffy parka by Uniqlo. The thing I love most about this coat (besides its enormous faux fur hood!) is the fact that it's puffy but it's not an obvious puffy coat. It's quilted on the inside, but on the outside, it just looks like a normal coat! It has more than earned its keep in my wardrobe since it's warm but way more stylish than my other puffy coat!
