It's lit

And just like that, Christmas is over, and 2019 is less than a week away! Even though all of the excitement of the holidays is over for the most part, I’m still feeling the holiday spirit. Most years, I’m done with Christmas music as soon as the date rolls over to the 26th, but this year I’m still into the music…and I’m letting myself listen to it. I’m not ready to put all of my decorations away, either. It feels nice to kind of ease out of it instead of jumping straight back into winter. Winter is my least favorite season, so I may as well enjoy the best part of it for as long as possible!

I’m thinking that this outfit of a flannel shirt, skinny jeans, and ankle boots will be one of my uniforms again this winter. I’m obsessed with the flannel Sunday shirt from Madewell and now own three different colors…oops. I like these the best because they’re thicker than Madewell’s other flannel shirts—and these have side pockets! They do fit quite oversized in the body, so I take my regular size instead of sizing up like I do in their other flannels.

We visited the Christmas tree at the capitol over the weekend. If you look really closely, the lights appear as though they were just thrown onto the tree randomly with strands going every which way. I can’t imagine how much of a pain it is to sort through all of those strands, haha! I’m glad I don’t have to do it. ;)
