New-to-me
As much as I love repeating outfits and getting as much wear as possible out of the garments I own, there's something to be said about adding a new (or new-to-me) piece. Even adding one piece can spark a multitude of new outfit combinations and feel like my whole closet has been refreshed! It's a little thing that has a huge impact, especially at the end of winter when I'm pretty tired of wearing the same sweaters and flannel shirts every day. (And as long as I'm not overspending or keeping everything I buy, it feels nice to indulge every once in a while.)
My newest flannel shirt addition was purchased secondhand from Poshmark, and even though it's not something I necessarily needed or that filled a wardrobe hole, it still got me excited for creating new end-of-winter/beginning-of-spring outfit combinations. I've got at least one more outfit planned once spring decides to stick around (it's finally starting to warm up again—yay!), but I know I'll be wearing it a lot come next fall/winter, too! It's as cozy as my pink flannel shirt (if not more so!), and I'm so happy I impulsively bought it while I was drowsily checking my phone one morning. LOL. Gotta love it when those impulse purchases work out!
