Ankle boot addict
I’m currently knee-deep in my style sudoku right now, but before I start sharing those outfits, I wanted to share one more regular winter outfit that I wore a few weeks ago. When I received these boots last month, I was initially a little bit worried about what exactly to wear with them. They’re not in one of my “usual” colors. Still, I couldn’t quite part with them; I’m a self-diagnosed ankle boot addict. I was drawn to the warm “burnished cedar” color and started holding them up against various items in my closet to see if they went well with anything.
To my surprise, I really liked how they looked with pretty much everything in my closet (the only color that looked off was grey, but I don’t tend to like how grey and brown look together anyway). The color is unexpected but still quite versatile. I’m the type of person that tends to have a gut feeling when it comes to adding new items to my wardrobe (and sometimes I ignore that gut feeling, which leads to poor decisions), but I feel pretty good about these boots. They add some much-needed fun to my winter shoe wardrobe. Plus, I love the wide opening because I can tuck my skinny jeans in them!
We’ll see how I feel about them in a couple of years, but so far, so good. Now I just need to calm down and not buy so many pairs of ankle boots, HA! I don’t have enough room in my closet for all of them!
