Seasonal shift
The switch to Daylight Saving Time coupled with the return of warm(er) temperatures and daily sunshine has lifted my spirits! I went out without a jacket this past weekend and couldn’t believe how nice it was. The only thing that would make me happier is to see the trees and flowers blooming again. Maybe by the end of the week things will start looking greener around here… :)
When it came time to dress myself for the suddenly springy weather, I had a moment of: “How do I dress for this again?!” LOL. It happens to me every time there’s a large swing in the weather. I haven’t had to dress for 60s since last fall and was feeling a little rusty. I didn’t know if a tee shirt would be warm enough (even a long-sleeved tee), but I knew one of my go-to winter sweaters would be too warm. For this look, I opted to go with one of my thinner sweaters and added the faux suede jacket to make me look cooler than I am. I probably could have taken the jacket off and been fine, but it was nice to have that extra layer while grocery shopping in the refrigerated and freezer sections. Ha!
I wore a pair of white denim because #spring, of course. This neutral, contrasting color palette feels very “me”, and though I wish that the sweater was maybe slightly shorter in length compared to the jacket, I really love how this look came together!
