Madewell Idaho
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught the try-on of my recent Madewell haul in my stories. I ordered a few things with my Insiders discount and ended up keeping mostly everything (oops). I didn’t realize until afterward that this tee is named the Driggs stripe, and the jeans are called the Preston wash—both Driggs and Preston are cities in Idaho! Who knew that Madewell had such an affinity for Idaho? ;) I knew I had to wear them together in an outfit because of that.
I was immediately drawn to the dark red stripes of this tee. In person, they definitely appear more like a dark, rusty brownish-red, which is perfect for fall and winter. I’ve been on a quest to try new denim silhouettes, and I’ve also been hunting for a pair of medium to dark denim jeans that aren’t a super saturated blue. I already have a pair of Everlane’s kick crop jeans, so the silhouette of these Cali demi-boot jeans aren’t exactly brand new to me, but these do have a little bit of extra flare. I purchased these in the regular length (petite was sold out of my size at the time), but the length hits just above my ankle bone, which is perfect. They seemed to stretch a lot more with wear than my skinny styles but not enough to warrant sizing down (the waist didn’t seem to stretch, only the legs).
I think I’ll have fun styling these pieces this fall! :) And it’s definitely feeling like fall around here now—happy fall, y’all.
