Presentable

I wore this outfit to a small symposium where I presented a poster on my research. It's a pretty casual event, but I wanted to get just a bit dressed up because it's fun for me and I felt like I should as a presenter. I even wore some eye shadow (though I think eyeliner would have been a good idea...I wish I could put it on easily!). I've been dying to style this tulle skirt, but I hesitate wearing it with black tights/shoes. It was warm enough to not have to wear tights, and I got to wear my nude heels! Win-win.

I understand why most fashion bloggers wear or hold their bags without anything inside of them. I filled my satchel to the brim because I left after the photos were taken, and it was definitely a little too heavy to comfortably "model" it. I purchased this satchel to mainly use for academic events like symposiums and conferences. I don't like hauling a backpack around (even though lots of people do!). The satchel makes me feel more grown up.
