Linen + layered
Happy August! Everyone else has been talking about summer winding down, but I don't really have to worry about that for another month or so. As much as I'm hating the heat, I'm trying to soak it all in before winter sets in and I'm whining about the cold. To be fair, it has been pretty pleasant here the past week. I wore this outfit to school and then out to the farmers market with Chris last week. We love going to the farmers market, and we've been picking up as much produce as possible to include in meals during the week. Chris is really good at making up recipes with random foods, so it's been fun to pick up whatever fruits and veggies look good! (I'm not a fan of plain tomatoes, but we purchased this kind of purple-y, tie-dye tomato to use in caprese salad; oh my gosh, it was really good! I was so surprised.)
One trend I've been wanting to try is layered necklaces. At first, I didn't really like the look, but at the time I was still head over heels for statement necklaces. While I do love a good statement necklace every once in a while, I've been leaning more towards delicate jewels as of late. I purchased the 'K' necklace during the Nordstrom sale and thought it would go perfectly with this pretty mint necklace Chris got me a few months ago!
