Trust the weatherman
I have a quick PSA for you today.
If you're in the US, you've likely heard about Hurricane Matthew. At the time I'm writing this post, it's currently a category four hurricane tracking along the Florida coast headed north towards Georgia and the Carolinas. Landfall is still uncertain (meaning it's uncertain if the eye of the hurricane will hit land), but it's still dumping a large amount of rain, causing damage due to its tropical-storm-force sustained winds, and producing a dangerous storm surge that will result in coastal flooding. If you live in its path and were asked to evacuate, I really, really hope you heeded the warning. Storms like these are no joke, and it is not worth staying behind to "ride out the storm". Not only is your life in danger, but if you suddenly needed help, you're now putting the lives of the rescuers in danger. The effects from these storms can often be felt for days afterward, and it's not worth hanging around.
Trust the meteorologist when he or she talks about the dangers of these storms. Trust officials when they ask or tell you to evacuate.
Anyway. Can you tell I get frustrated about this? As an atmospheric scientist, it's so incredibly frustrating to hear about people getting hurt or dying because they didn't evacuate.
I don't have much to say about the outfit other than that it's another look from my fall style sudoku! I have been loving the outfits so far this time around and hopefully I still like them as I get further along, haha. :)
