Ellen vibes

Have you ever put together an outfit and thought of exactly the celebrity it belonged on? That's what happened with this outfit. I feel like I raided Ellen DeGeneres's closet because this looks like exactly an outfit she would wear! She rocks the sporty-casual in her blazers, button-up shirts, bomber jackets, slim pants, and sneakers. My colleague asked me if I had something important going on because I was wearing my blazer; I love wearing it because I feel like I can conquer anything and it convinces everyone else that I'm important (or at least up to something important). ;)

I've had a pretty productive last couple of weeks at work. I shared on Instagram last week that I finally solved a problem I had been working on for weeks. I was so happy to finally move on with my research, and this week I've made a lot of progress on that (and also a few mistakes, which seems to be par for the course when it comes to grad school). I also resubmitted a paper; I first submitted it to a journal, which then suggested I submit it to a different journal, and then the editor of the second journal didn't think it fit the scope of that journal, either... So the third time's the charm, hopefully?
