Two bloggers, one garment: High-rise shorts

Next up, Nicole, the stylish and inspirational lady behind Writes Like a Girl, and I styled our high-rise denim shorts! Nicole and I first "met" a few weeks before Texas Style Council CAMP last year (I commented on her blog with a question about it). Even though I saw Nicole at TxSC, I never actually met her in person, and if I were to go back in time I'd definitely change that! I am super shy around people I don't know, so I didn't talk to much of anyone besides the girls in my cabin, haha.

That said, I'm super happy we became blogging buds after the fact, and hopefully I'll get to meet her someday! If you're looking for a body positive, badass feminist style blogger, Nicole is your gal. She is located in Austin, Texas, with her boyfriend, Dago, and sweet kitty, Contessa (#catladiesunite). She and Dago also run a fun breakfast food/current event/pop culture podcast together called Breakfast for Dinner.

I love how we are both wearing navy stripes with our shorts, but her outfit is perfect for late spring and mine is great for early spring! (We've only had a couple of days hit 70 degrees, so the outfit struggle is real right now.) I wore my shorts with a long-sleeved tee and cardigan in lieu of a jacket. How cute is her scarf?!
