Embrace the wrinkle
Let's talk linen. I've mentioned before about how I didn't discover the wonders of linen until just a couple of years ago. I seriously don't know how I lived in the summers before I discovered linen. However, even though it is the best/most comfortable fabric to wear in the heat, linen is not the most "naturally presentable" fabric. It wrinkles like crazy. But you know what? I embrace it, because I'd rather be comfortable in wrinkly linen than dying in wrinkle-free polyester.
This is the look I actually wore to my concert this past Monday. It was at an outdoor venue, and the temperature was in the upper 90s, so I wore linen (of course) in an all-white outfit to reflect as much of the sun as possible. I did end up throwing my hair into a ponytail, and I was sweating from all the dancing, but I loved having the sleeves for when the sun went down and the air cooled. Per usual, I went matchy-matchy with my belt and sandals.
