A practical Thanksgiving outfit
Why do bloggers always share such fashion-forward, impractical outfits as Thanksgiving inspiration? As much as I think those types of outfits are a good idea, let's be real. It's Thanksgiving: the holiday that revolves around good comfort food (and family, but mostly food). Comfort and ease were the only things on my mind when I was thinking about what the heck I'm going to wear. I don't want to deal with anything tight or extra layers, and I don't want to feel bulky or the need to fuss around with my outfit.
This year, I'm planning to cozy up in my textured cashmere sweater (with the balloon sleeves pushed up if they get too close to my mashed potatoes) and a stretchy pair of skinny jeans since I won't be at home (the cashmere joggers may have made an appearance had we been hosting!). The burgundy velvet sneakers and bag tie everything together and give it that stereotypical fall vibe. Plus, I'm pretty sure I could fit leftover food in this bag if I wanted. ;) I'll take all the potatoes, please and thank you!
Speaking of thank you...since Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks (and food), I wanted to extend a very heartfelt thank you to you for reading my blog! I never in a million years thought people would be interested in following me/reading about my life/seeing what I wear on a regular basis. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving if you're stateside (and a great Thursday if you're not, haha)! xoxo
