Riverside
The worst part about the onset of winter is the fact that all the deciduous (leafy) trees are completely bare. It's more difficult to find good outfit backdrops when everything looks dead! Haha. Luckily the river runs through my backyard and it's always worth a late afternoon stroll if it's not too cold even though the trees around it look sad at this time of year. I suppose I don't mind just a little bit of snow cover just so all the foliage doesn't look so barren! (I can't believe I just typed that...)
My Bean boots have gotten quite a bit of mileage this fall with the intermittent rainy days. We've even had a couple of days with snowflakes! Mine are the regular boots, but I've been seriously considering adding a pair of their warmer Thinsulate or shearling-lined boots to my snow boot rotation. (I'm also trying to convince my boyfriend to buy his own pair so we can match!)
I pulled out some old favorites for this look: a cozy wool cardigan, classic navy gingham shirt, and stretchy skinny jeans. I added a little cuff on my cardigan sleeves so the gingham could peek out at my wrists. It's such an easy yet thoughtful styling trick that I love!
P.S. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I'm on vacation in Mexico this week! It's my first time, and I'm having so much fun on my first vacation since starting my job a few months ago!
