My Favorite Outfits from Fall/Winter 2016

I am ecstatic to say goodbye to winter and welcome spring! It was pretty obvious that I was seriously lacking in outfit creativity these past couple of weeks, but with the warmer weather comes a renewed joy in putting together outfits. That said, it's time to recap this past fall and winter by sharing my favorite looks and thinking about the overarching themes in my style.

I picked out my favorite looks from this past fall and winter and ended up with 16 favorites out of the 58 shared. When I decide my favorites, I ask myself these questions: 1) Would I wear it again right now (weather aside)? 2) Do I like how everything fits? 3) Do I like the color combination? 4) Do I like the silhouette? 5) Does it feel like me? I also realized that there's a slight bias towards the outfits whose photos I like best, but I tried to not focus on that so much. Basically, these are the outfits that I can see myself repeating in the future (or that I've already repeated).

My favorite looks contain a lot of denim but not as much black as I thought. There's a nice variety of color going on—including lots of burgundy! I'm drawn towards looks with skirts and somewhat billowy tops and looks with a couple of interesting layers (a sweater + scarf or a top + cardigan or coat). I felt pretty confident in my style and I think it shows in the looks.

Were there any favorites of yours that didn't make my list? I'd love to know! (Click through each photo below to see the original outfit post. Can you tell I'm a bit obsessed with the gallery display lately? It just looks so clean!)
