Fall for spring

I put together this outfit and then realized after the fact that it looked much more like an outfit for fall rather than an outfit for spring. Not only did I feature three of these items in last fall's style sudoku (proving that they really are closet heroes), the darker color palette reads more fall than spring. The only thing giving the season away is the fact that the trees behind me are flowering instead of dropping their leaves. ;)

How was your weekend? I went home to visit my boyfriend and family since it was Easter and I was invited to a couple of family meals (brunch on Saturday and dinner on Sunday). My step mom actually put together a couple of Easter egg hunts on Sunday, and I can't even remember the last time I did a hunt before then! There was one hunt for the teenagers and one for the adults, but the oldest of my brothers, my boyfriend, and I got to do both since there were only three teenagers (my younger two brothers and my cousin). It was pretty competitive! My younger brothers also hid a few eggs for the adults—they had mini bottles of alcohol inside (inside being a loose term; the bottles were too big to fit entirely inside the eggs, haha). I also drank a mimosa the size of my head, so it ended up being an excellent weekend all around. Now it's crunch time until graduation and my dissertation defense!
