Easy breezy
Like a typical Utah spring, we've had our swings in weather and temperature; we've had everything from chill, rain, and snow to sun and warmth (often times within a couple of days of each other). I wore this outfit on a particularly warm yet breezy day (the days prior to frontal passages are always the warmest and windiest; we can get a pretty gnarly southerly wind). This week is going to be pretty rainy and chilly, unfortunately! Hopefully that means we get a lot of warmth next month, right? (But not too much warmth too quickly or we'll have some major flooding to contend with...)
This is a pretty natural combination featuring some of my favorite items for the warmer days during this weird transitional period. I tucked in the shirt to give it some volume and define my waist at the same time (the skirt is structured enough that it doesn't show the shirt underneath). I could have easily substituted a long-sleeved chambray had the weather not been warm enough to bare arms and the overall vibe wouldn't change. I absolutely love pairing my ankle boots with dresses and skirts, and there's only a short window of time when the weather is appropriate for this without needing a pair of tights, too. I soak it up as much as I can! :)
