Let's get lost in the light
It was (and still is) blazin' hot when I wore this ensemble on my boyfriend's birthday last week; I put it on just in case he decided he wanted to go out. (For the record, we got take-out pizza and stuffed our faces at home, haha.) I had been planning to wear the top and skirt together at some point, but I wasn't really sure about which shoes to wear. (Doesn't it always seem to go that way? I have a lot of half or mostly put-together outfits in a note on my phone, haha.) I ended up going with the pewter flats just for something a bit different than my typical black sandal this time of year.
Side note: I know you'll be inundated with this tomorrow, but I wanted to give a heads up and mention that I bought both the top and these flats in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year (the early access starts tomorrow, public sale starts in a week). I know that there will be a pair of Halogen flats that look very similar to these (in the same colorway as well as others), so keep that in mind in case you're looking for a pair yourself. I'm not sure about the top, but it's worth checking if you're in the market (mine has the sheer back, and the whole thing shrunk a tiny bit when I washed it but luckily not too much because it's still plenty long on me to tuck). I'm looking forward to hopefully finding some pieces to wear to work!
Also, you may remember that in the wrap-up of my winter 10x10 challenge, I said I was going to do a summer 10x10 challenge. It's still coming! I just had to delay it to next month because of my vacation. I'm thinking that it may be a mix of both work outfits and "play" outfits, but I'm still trying to iron out the details...
