Off duty
By the time the weekend rolls around, I've typically exhausted my brain power when it comes to thinking of cute outfits to wear. I've been wearing a whole lot of easy, comfy outfits like this one when I don't have any plans beyond going to the grocery store or hanging out with my parents. There are few things that a sweatshirt or an oversized sweater can't cure, especially when paired with a hot chai. Is it Saturday morning yet? ;)
I picked up this lightweight sweatshirt from Everlane a couple of months ago, and it’s been a staple when it comes to loungewear. I’ve also worn it a couple of times to work when I felt particularly blah or uninspired. The Earth sneakers are one of my favorite pairs of sneakers (I’ve been rotating between these or my black wool Earth sneakers lately)—they’re seriously so comfortable. I’ve had my J.Crew ponte pants for years. They aren’t worn as much now since I only wear them to work with longer tops or sweaters, but they’re perfect for weekends! And, you know, the hat hides messy hair…ha!
When Korri doesn’t have to work, our weekends typically consist of sleeping in, eating homemade brunch (lately it’s been potatoes and bacon), watching football, cleaning some part of the house, shooting things for the blog, and maybe hanging out with family or friends. A couple of weekends ago, I spent the majority of a Saturday cleaning out and organizing the pantry. You know you’re an adult when that excites you! I’m hoping we’ll be able to ride bikes one more time this weekend, but we do have rain in the forecast sadly.
P.S. Will this baseball game ever end? Haha!
