April in February
This has been one of the most bizarre winters. A couple of weeks ago, I shared a spring-inspired winter outfit because it was pretty warm for mid-January at about 50 degrees. Would you believe that since then, it's hit 60 degrees or greater twice, and it's been consistently above 50 degrees for the past week? The trees are budding and the flowers are blooming because nature thinks spring is here...and it's only the beginning of February. (Meanwhile, on the East coast, winter is still out in full force.)
The temperatures we've been having are more typical of early April than early February. Will winter come back at the end of the month? In March? In April? Is spring here to stay? Does this mean our summer will start in April and scorch us for six months? Who knows! Weather is weird, guys.
I've been taking full advantage of the warmth by pulling out some lighter layers and flats instead of heavy sweaters and one of my trusty pairs of boots. The color combination of light camel, bright red stripes, and blue jeans/flats looks like a subtle variation of primary colors to me. I have to admit that I don't hate the mild weather! ;) It's so much more fun to dress for spring than winter, haha.
