A fresh palette

I feel like I blinked and now it's the end of July! Anyone else feeling the same way? It's probably because I was on vacation for the first full week of the month, but still! I'm kind of starting to freak out about summer being over soon (though who am I kidding, it's going to be hot through mid-September at least...). We really need a change in the weather out here, though. The entire west is on fire right now—it happens every year, but this year seems worse since it's already so bad and it's only the end of July. We still have to get through August and September. Please send all the rain vibes this way!

While we are still solidly in summer, I've been enjoying wearing lighter color palettes AND cycling through all of my summer shoes. The combination of cream, white, and light blue denim is so pleasing to my eyes, and the cognac brown adds some contrast. I wonder if I would have liked this outfit even more without the belt because it feels a little bit dark now that I'm looking back at the photos. Note that I only wore the cardigan in my overly-air-conditioned office. ;) I liked the whole look with the cardigan which is why I decided to shoot some photos with it on.

It's been a while since I broke out my lace-up Soludos! They're so fun to wear but not the easiest to match with other items in my closet since the laces are cream and the cognac doesn't quite match my other cognac (it "goes", haha). Unfortunately my exact espadrilles are no longer available in this color but there's a bunch of other options (including these espadrilles in other colors), and Soludos releases new styles every year!
