Fuzzy Fleece and Boot Season
We came home from our trip to the Cook Islands at the end of September and immediately entered fuzzy fleece and boot season—the temperatures dropped and the leaves are falling closely behind, which means that it’s officially fall here. Whew! So, before I dive into my final style sudoku of the year, here’s a quick little fall outfit post featuring a couple of new-to-me items: a fuzzy fleece jacket from Uniqlo and lace-up boots courtesy of Earth.
I’ve decided that my fall style M.O. is to wear all of the soft, cozy things I possibly can. I just want to feel comforted every time I get dressed. I’m thankful that I can wear casual items to work, and this was the perfect outfit to cozy up in for a day at my desk. I absolutely love this fleece jacket, but I must admit that the color makes me nervous! I’m pretty spill-prone, so I make sure to wear it on days that I don’t plan on eating anything with red sauce or something else that could spill all over me, haha. I couldn’t commit to a top or shirt to wear under my jacket so I wore a thin Heattech tank top under my fleece jacket (it enabled me to do a quick change before lunch so I didn’t ruin my jacket!).
Other than the fleece jacket, the big star of this outfit is my new pair of boots! I’ve been collaborating with Earth for years now, and this season I selected the Denali Anchor lace-up boots as part of my collaboration. I saw them and immediately wanted to add them to my wardrobe. I love the light tan color and walkable heel. Plus, they feature side zips so you don’t have to untie/retie them every time! As usual, they’re incredibly comfortable to wear and walk in all day. Truly, my Earth shoes are the most comfortable shoes in my closet.
Unfortunately, there is limited stock of the Denali Anchor boot right now, but Earth is expecting a restock any day now! They’re popular and for good reason. ;) I took my usual size 7 and can wear a regular pair of socks, but I think a thick pair of winter socks would be too snug so I would suggest sizing up if you want to wear thick socks. Let me know if you pick up a pair yourself!
