October Style Sudoku Recap
Well, this is it! I finished up my fourth and final style sudoku of the year this past weekend. For two weeks, I wore one of 14 outfits made up of the 16 items in my October style sudoku shown above, in which every row, column, and corner is an outfit (plus the diagonals…and a couple of other places if you're feeling ambitious). I love putting together style sudokus to remind myself of everything I already own (and love) and to play around with new outfit combinations. I did not do a shopping freeze this month… I bought probably way more than I should have. Oops. Fall style always gets me!
Fall called for a moodier color palette, so I brought back black as my base and added blue denim, cognac brown, olive green, ivory, and burgundy as accents. It ended up being a perfect color palette if I do say so myself. ;) My January color palette was also pretty similar to this one, and my April and July sudokus featured lighter color palettes for spring and summer. Every outfit felt like it had a good variety of different colors and textures. There was really only one black-heavy outfit, which was unavoidable because I decided to include so many black pieces. Some of the combos were a little weird/not something I’d typically wear (puffer vest with oxford shoes or velvet boots, for example).
Overall, this version was pretty successful! I didn’t layer as much as I thought I would, considering the season, but there was still a good variety of outfits thanks to the different colors and types of tops. I included four pairs of jeans and not any other pants or skirts, which made each individual outfit not super exciting...so I had to throw in a different silhouette because of that! Everything worked out well with the weather for the most part. I had fun making these sudokus this year and playing around with my closet! :) Would you make your own style sudoku?
