Brisk
Truly, my hair has never looked better (read: crazier) than it does in this set of photos! I picked the tamest photos I could for this post. Unfortunately, I couldn’t include all the gems Korri captured (and there were a LOT!). ;) But seriously, I don’t think we’ve ever shot outfit photos in that much wind before—and it was cold wind, too. (Actually, this post from almost exactly a year ago also featured strong winds…I only found it because I wanted to name this post “Blustery” and searched my blog to see if I had already used it, haha!)
I love wearing monochrome winter white outfits that aren’t entirely stark white. In this outfit, the creamy waffle knit sweater balances the nearly stark white kick crop jeans. I don’t know why, but this combination reminds me of a warm bowl of pasta. Is that weird? HAHA! It’s comforting and cozy and exactly what I need at this time of year. (Side note: I’m not a fan of alfredo sauce, but that’s what this outfit reminds me of…) Andrea wore a similar outfit recently and it gave me the warm fuzzies!
I had a harder time figuring out what shoes I wanted to wear. Ankle boots don’t look quite right with these jeans, but it’s not exactly the best weather for flats/exposed ankles right now. As long as I don’t spend too much time outside, flats are okay…but this outfit would definitely be more ideal for an unseasonably warm winter day or an early spring day that doesn’t have a bitterly cold wind. Winter seems to be hanging on here, sadly. Sending you warm and cozy thoughts this weekend!
