Another day, another pink-themed outfit! (What can I say? It’s February!) This time, I pulled out my light pink skinny jeans for another casual Valentine’s Day-inspired winter look paired with my burgundy Madewell flannel Sunday shirt. A light pink and burgundy color combination isn’t new to me (check out this work-appropriate Valentine’s Day-themed outfit from three years ago), and I love a good excuse to pull these pants out at any time of year.
I must admit, though: as much as I love wearing these pink jeans (they’re so comfortable), the color throws me off because it’s so close to my skin tone. I love the idea of pink jeans but I should probably wear a darker color…but I also don’t want to give these up just yet. Agh! Maybe I just need to vacation somewhere tropical and get a little color on me, ha! (Not too much color, though, and I’d definitely still wear sunscreen. Hi mom!)
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend and/or for Valentine’s Day next week? After a few weeks of normal to above average, almost spring-like warmth, it’s back to winter with snow and cold in the forecast for the next week. Guess I can’t pack away my snow boots just yet… And my winter outfits may finally have a snowy backdrop! I’ll be using this weather as an excuse to stay in and watch as many gymnastics meets as I can. ;)
