Spring sneaker style
Happy weekend! How will you be spending the last weekend of April? I need to run a whole bunch of errands (returns, dry cleaners, etc.), and I think we might go to another college softball game since it’s going to be a beautiful weekend to be outside. We’re in that time of year where the days range from sweater-jeans-sneakers weather one day (as shown here) to dress-sandals-sunhat weather the next. I love this transitional time of year because it’s when I get the most out of my closet!
I am so excited to be partnering with Earth for the fifth (!) year to style a couple of pairs of shoes from their spring/summer 2019 collection. First up is this pair of Earth Cedarwood sneakers! Earth has been releasing more athleisure-inspired footwear recently and it’s been so fun to see the new styles. These sneakers come in smooth black, pebbled blush, seafoam green, and white/silver as shown here. I picked the white and silver colorway because I did not own a pair of white sneakers. I’m clumsy and somewhat spill-prone but hopefully I won’t ruin these, haha. These sneakers actually feature convertible backs that fold down so the sneakers can be worn like mules, which I just learned as I’m writing this post. I’ll have to try wearing them like that next time! I have these in my usual size 7 but they do run a little big so I could probably fit in a 6.5 no problem. I wore my new sneakers in this outfit last weekend on one of those sweater-jeans-sneakers days. It actually would have been too warm for the sweater if not for the lovely breeze we had! I love the contrast between the dark sweater and bag and the lighter jeans and sneakers. I felt super comfortable in this outfit: I can never go wrong with boyfriend jeans, and of course, the sneakers add even more comfort. I don’t think I’ve ever worn a pair of Earth shoes that weren’t comfortable! This outfit was actually inspired by this pin I came across on Pinterest (the fact that my bag is so similar to the inspiration is a fun coincidence)!
