Grey ombré

Nothing says “spring!” quite like shades of grey…right? ;) I’ve been feeling moody lately when it comes to dressing myself, probably due to the change in the weather. We experienced a few days of chillier weather recently. Thank goodness the warmth will be returning again this weekend!

I recently picked up this pair of washed denim skinny jeans from Everlane featuring a button fly. I love them as an alternative to my stark black and grey skinny jeans. So many sizes are unfortunately sold out, but if you add yourself to the waitlist for the size you want, you’ll be notified if there are any returns. That’s how I snagged these! I’m happy I was able to grab a pair before summer hits and I don’t want to wear any sort of dark denim.

I went with a light grey/washed black/black ombre outfit with the jeans and another new purchase: this grey ribbed tee from H&M. I stopped in store to donate a bag of clothes for recycling, and after browsing, decided to use the coupon on this tee. I haven’t worn a ribbed shirt in probably two decades but it’s a trend I was interested in possibly wearing again so this was the perfect opportunity. (Side note: H&M takes all textiles so I honestly donate everything to H&M that isn’t in good enough condition to donate to a thrift store or the homeless shelter; no textiles end up in the trash at my house!)

I’ve also got a little bit of an ombre situation happening with my hair. Eeep! I haven’t been to the salon in months, mostly to save money…but I really should get at least a trim since I’m finding a few more split ends (though preferably I’d get a couple of inches taken off) and perhaps some more highlights.
