Link Love, vol. 14
I can’t seem to get it together after traveling to Utah this past weekend, so here are a few links I’ve been loving lately. Hope you have a great start to the week! I can’t believe July is only a week away.
In my previous Link Love post, I shared links about James Holzhauer, the Jeopardy phenom. Emma Boettcher ended his run before he could beat Ken Jennings’s winnings.
Last Friday was the day to #ShowYourStripes to bring awareness to climate change happening around the globe. You can find a graphic of “warming stripes” for your location on the main website. Ed Hawkins is the lead scientist and creator of the graphics. I shared the graphic for Idaho on my Twitter and Instagram.
I love the spring outfits Andrea put together last month so much that I pinned two of the looks to my style inspiration board on Pinterest! Speaking of, I’ve been trying to be more active on Pinterest since so much of my blog traffic is from that platform.
Anne’s mix-and-match suitcases are always so inspiring (especially because I have another style sudoku planned for next month!), and this one is making me wish I had a trip to Europe on the calendar!
Researchers have discovered a way to convert PET plastic (which can’t be recycled at the facilities here in Boise) into components that can be used in diesel and jet fuel.
I ordered some DEET-free mosquito repellent wipes and catnip oil repellent spray with my most recent MightyFix just to try. I don’t mind using DEET but it would be nice to find an alternative if it works just as well! What do you use to combat mosquitoes?
As a near 30-something solidly in the millennial generation, I feel this comic by xkcd.
A summer wish list (including some things that have sold out of my size, gah): a cozy cotton cardigan by Madewell (I’m also watching to see if the summer Ryder cardigan goes on sale), a cutout one-piece swimsuit by J.Crew (my size is gone so I’m trying to convince myself that it wouldn’t have fit me, lol), my dream beachy caftan by 9seed (out of the budget so if you come across anything similar, please let me know!), the day crossover sandals in rose by Everlane (my order was cancelled due to being oversold but I think I’m going to try a half size up…), and the lightweight French terry shrunken hoodie by Everlane (in off-white or maybe rose?).
