Summer Palette

Nothing screams “IT’S SUMMER!” to me quite like a blue and white outfit combination. It’s clean, it’s crisp, it’s classic…and it’s a favorite of mine! (The gold takes it up a notch.) I’ve worn this shirt with white denim before, but I’m a fan of the kick crop silhouette here. Even though I’m still a skinny jeans fan, the kick crop denim adds a bit more personality than just your standard skinny jeans. I’m happy I started exploring new denim silhouettes; I’m on the lookout for more to add to my wardrobe. Maybe a straight leg silhouette next? Do you have any favorites right now?

A fun outfit fact: I wore this outfit on what happened to be my colleague’s birthday, and we celebrated with some homemade pie in the office. I was planning to shoot this outfit later that evening. I managed to eat a slice of berry (!) pie with my hands while standing and holding it in a paper towel and did not get a single drop of berry on myself. I call that a WIN! Truly, I’m the worst at staining some part of my outfit, especially when I plan to shoot said outfit that day…haha. Usually the culprit is yogurt (been there, done that) or oil from salad dressing. I probably should have purchased a lottery ticket, but I didn’t want to push my luck too much! ;)
