Ode to the Wubby Pullover

I may not be winter’s biggest fan but I am a fan of pulling out my comfiest, coziest, largest sweaters and wearing them every day with absolutely no shame. I purchased this wubby/teddy pullover in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a couple of years ago and have gotten so much wear out of it. It’s a little too big in the size I got, but I almost love it more because of that. It’s like wearing a socially acceptable blanket! I’ve been known to wear it to work and always get asked if I’m cold, ha. (I don’t know why they ask that because obviously I’m not! ;))

I typically wear this pullover with sweatpants around the house, but if I wear it out I tend to go with skinny jeans/pants to balance the silhouette. Other than this outfit, I’ve worn it so far with burgundy pants, black leggings (to lounge in at home), and grey skinny jeans. I love this color combo with the olive skinny jeans and amber boots. The boots are waterproof (!) which is just the best for winter—I can wear them when it’s wet out and not worry at all about ruining the suede! It’s nice to have a pair of non-utilitarian winter boots.

It snowed here this past weekend and looks like it’s here to stay for a while. It’s the perfect excuse to cozy up in my wubby pullover and stay home (on the weekends, of course…unfortunately the snow doesn’t get me out of work!).
