Autumn in January
Typically when we have unseasonably warm weather in January, my mind skips ahead to spring. That’s the next season, after all. However, when the weather turned dreary recently, I knew it was the perfect time to pull out this look featuring a very autumnal color palette. I was originally planning to wait until next fall to blog this look but didn’t want to wait that long, especially since the recent rainy days have been the perfect backdrop (along with the dead foliage).
I put together this look for a regular day at the office and loved how all the colors came together. The vibrant orange-spice of the coat, olive green jeans, navy accent in the boots, and the shades of beige and brown play off each other so well and give me all the autumn vibes, even at the end of January. ;) I can get stuck in a neutral rut at this time of year, and it’s fun to break that mold and play around with color a little bit to spice things up in the middle of winter. I feel like I look slightly like a pumpkin (an upside-down pumpkin, maybe?) with this coat and denim combo BUT I’ve embraced it!
The colorway of this coat, the ReDown puffy puff by Everlane, is running low in stock since it’s part of their Choose What You Pay sale, but the ReNew fleece sweatshirt is still in stock in all sizes! I took an XS in the coat and a small in the sweatshirt.
