Link Love, vol. 21
Happy Friday! I have a bunch of blog post ideas and am feeling overwhelmed with how much I want to share and what to post first, so naturally I’m procrastinating by writing a link love post. I also crossed a lot of things off of the blog to-do list and am getting ready to launch my new email list SOON! 🤩
Aliya Wanek is restocking sweatshirts next Friday, October 23rd! I highly recommend signing up for her email list (get 10% off your first order!) and/or following her on Instagram for the inside scoop. Here’s my review of my two Ami sweatshirts in dusty rose (pictured above) and olive. I literally alternate between the two colors everyday! I really want the navy…what do you think? Should I get a third?! It seems like overkill but I really love them SO much.
Grace recently published a post about her decision to be childfree that resonated with me. (Her friend Jenn also published an excellent personal essay on the topic!) I wrote and published a similar post last year, and I’m still leaning towards NOT having children of my own.
I LOVE Anne’s simple and classic seasonless outfit and fresh new ‘do! #pinned
Have you watched the new Get Organized with The Home Edit show on Netflix? I have not but do recommend reading this great article by Refinery29 about the curious lack of outrage over their consumerism compared to KonMari/Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, which received criticism about being “wasteful”.
I’m in the middle of three books right now (a new Reading Lately post should be out this month, hopefully!) including an e-book about social media marketing called Slashed: The Ultimate Social Media & Influencer Marketing Guide written by Unsah Malik, an expert in the field. It’s truly a whole other world, and as someone with no marketing/business background, it’s enlightening! And complicated! The 300+ page book is currently ~$70 and is the best I’ve seen on this topic, especially for the price. Here’s my referral link if you’re interested!
The Everygirl shared 10 easy habits to help you spend less time on social media. I use a lot of these myself! Lately, I’ve found myself spending a lot more time on Instagram and less time on Twitter; a few months ago, it was the opposite, but with Election Day quickly approaching it seems like it’s actually doomsday approaching every time I’m on Twitter…
Speaking of the election, I’m text banking again on Saturday and Sunday! Read more about my first experience and then sign up here to join me; it’s super low key, won’t last all day, and it’s easy to do with Netflix on in the background. 😉
A quick lil wish list: waterproof suede boots by Blondo (on sale at Nordstrom; recently ordered these in grey in a half size up per reviews), a wool coat with sherpa collar by Madewell (I have no real use for this coat but I love it so much, it’s available in petite sizes (!), and it’s currently 30% off with code SPREETIME), sherpa lined chelsea boots by Dr. Martens (never had a pair growing up but kinda want one now; up to 25% off at Shopbop through 10/16), wide leg FLEECE pants by Amour Vert (a WFH dream), the new Haven capsule collection by Vetta Capsule (a lovely color palette for fall and beyond).
