Snow in Autumn
Your eyes are not deceiving you: we got SNOW! Real, accumulated snow! In early November! And because there were some lingering autumn leaves, I decided to get dressed and shlep outside with Korri to take outfit photos…while it was still snowing, lol. I couldn’t resist the juxtaposition of the yellow leaves and bright white snow. It’s always so dreary in the winter when the leaves are gone, so may as well take advantage of it now!
I won’t lie; it was also an excuse to take my new Blondo Sydney waterproof booties out for a spin. I still can’t believe that they’re suede boots…and I wore them outside in the wet snow…and you can’t even tell that I wore them outside in the wet snow. Truly amazing, if you ask me. If you’re in the market, they’re currently on sale at Nordstrom (keep an eye out for Black Friday deals!). I sized up a half size per reviews, and they fit perfectly with thin no-show socks but thick socks wouldn’t work.
This outfit features two other wardrobe additions that I had purchased in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this past summer: the Thread & Supply wubby pullover and Zella leggings. This is my second wubby pullover, and I definitely didn’t need another but all I want to wear are soft and cozy things, so why not? Ha! (It’s also currently on sale!) The charcoal colors coordinates with my boots.
I’m also wearing the Zella studio lite 7/8 leggings, and they were my very last #nsale buy—reviews were a little mixed; some were saying that they didn’t feel as nice as the Zella live-in leggings, which I also own. I decided to go for it anyway since I’m always wearing my other Zella leggings, and I actually love these even more than the live-in leggings! I don’t think the fabric feels cheap at all, and the rise is higher on these than on my live-in 7/8 leggings, but it’s also not at all constricting around my waist. I think I’ll do a review of all of my Zella leggings soon just because there are so many different styles, but I can say right now that these are my favorite style and I wish I had more! If Nordstrom is reading this, please make more colors. (A girl can dream, right?)
