I don’t know how it is where you are, but here in Boise it’s been downright cooold to kick off December! We are, unfortunately, back in “cold pool season”—a.k.a. inversion season—which is when stagnant air settles into the valleys and a temperature inversion forms, trapping cold air (and air pollution) at the surface. Cold pool season is most definitely not my favorite time of year, but the fact that it’s also the holiday season counters that a little bit. 😉 Ask me how I’m feeling in January, haha!

I was real cold when we shot this outfit, and I probably should have kept my coat on…or at least planned an outfit around the cold like a smart person. Even though this is technically my final fall outfit, it basically felt like winter outside, and winter is definitely the worst time to be a blogger when you prefer to shoot outside (that’s me). I bundled up as much as I could sans coat; I pulled out a cozy sweater (I purchased this one from Amour Vert back in the spring when it was on sale), a cashmere scarf, and my ear muffs for the occasion!

If I was on top of things, I would have shared this outfit on Monday when my scarf was 30% off at Everlane (did you catch my recent Everlane reviews?). Alas, I never know when sales like that are happening until they happen. Did you pick up anything in the sale? I highly considered grabbing the ReNew channeled liner but it doesn’t seem warm enough to be a standalone winter coat (at least for winters here) and I don’t know what color I like best, so I passed. We’ll see how annoyed I am with that decision come spring. (Also, I blew my entire winter budget with the recent sales, so I need to calm down with the purchases for myself LOL.)

I’m trying to be better about sharing useful information in my blog posts, but this post ended up not being one of them. Sometimes my brain just wants to share a bunch of photos and spill random thoughts/complaints about weather and clothes and call it good! Thanks so much for reading my ramblings.
