Double the Cozy
A wubby pullover + cashmere scarf = ALL the cozy late winter vibes. By this time of the year, I just can't with the cold weather anymore. I reach for my warmest sweaters and bury myself in my snuggie (if at work, yes I have one and keep it at my desk so I can stay warm AND have arm mobility to work on my computer) or in a pile of blankets (if at home). I layer a Heattech tee from Uniqlo underneath my sweaters for extra coziness (I alternate between the sleeveless tops and long-sleeved tops depending on how cold it is/what sweater I’m wearing). This pullover is essentially a socially acceptable blanket that I can wear all day! What’s not to love? (Okay, I do wish it wasn’t dry clean only…)
Luckily, it's not all dreary and cold around here; we've had some hints of spring recently and I'm itching to feel the warm sun on my skin again. Soon! Daylight Saving Time starts in less than two weeks...not that I'm counting down or anything. Honestly, winter wasn’t too bad here this year. I know it’s not necessarily a good thing that we didn’t have a lot of cold temperatures and it didn’t really snow (save for one week), but as someone that is not a fan of a “normal” winter, I’ll take a mild winter. The mountains still got a decent amount of snow but are sitting at below normal snowpack right now, so if we have a warm spring followed by hot and dry summer, that doesn’t bode well for fire season. Last year we had basically no major wildfires here but that could change this year. Ah, life in the west.
