Link Love, vol. 19
Hi friends! I hope your Monday went as well as a Monday can go. Here are some links and things to kick off the work week (the last one before a 3-day weekend, and TBH, I really need the mental break). Thinking of you all and hoping you’re staying safe and healthy. ❤️
If you want to learn more about the complex biology powering the coronavirus pandemic, look no further (via Nature).
Why are influencers suddenly the villains? This piece by Betches discusses how well (or not well) well-known influencers are handling their content, and ultimately their online presence, during the pandemic. While I hardly consider myself an influencer, since I have this platform, I know how important it is to be mindful. (I hope I’ve been doing an alright job so far…)
Jessica put together a list of retailers and brands offering face masks for sale. In addition to those retailers, Marine Layer and Amour Vert are also offering masks.
Turns out, the heat that climatologists fear may already be here (via Cosmos). This article made me appreciate living in the desert even more.
If you haven’t seen comedian Sarah Cooper’s brilliant reenactments of 45’s incoherent thoughts, you need to fix that ASAP. They’re the only way I can listen to his voice. She posts her videos to TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
Jean shared tips for making produce last longer in between grocery store visits. I have not set foot in a grocery store since early March (we’ve been doing pickups at a local store), and I am absolutely dreading going to shop in person when the time comes.
Everlane is doing a huge Choose What You Pay sale right now, and there are three items that I own myself included in the sale: the cotton box-cut pocket tee (review here), the link-stitch crewneck sweater (review here), and the Re:Down puffy puff (review here).
Home things I’m loving lately: the quintessential volcano candle by Anthropologie (I’ve been trying to remember to burn candles because our collection is way too large—gotta use them up!), clear drawer organizers by The Container Store (got a couple of these recently and want more; also, I need this basket in my life), our geometric area rug by nuLoom (it’s in our living room and we finally got around to rotating it!), and our new cordless vacuum by Dyson (we’ve each had our vacuums for years and they’ve been due for an upgrade…and this purchase is why we finally got around to rotating the rug—ha!).
