My Top 5 MightyFix Products from the Past Year
Back in June 2018, I purchased an annual MightyFix subscription by MightyNest, and every month I received sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives to common home and wellness products. Over that first year, I wrote quarterly review posts: the first review was shared September 2018, second review in December 2018, third review in March 2019, and fourth review in June 2019. I renewed my annual subscription last year, and now that the year is over (and I just renewed my annual subscription again), I wanted to share my top five MightyFixes from the past year!
The subscription is $11 per month if paid on a per-month basis, which comes out to $132/year. Of course, every product you receive is worth at least that much. I just renewed my annual subscription for the second time, and this time it was discounted to $99 if prepaid in full (last year, the discounted price was $114 or $9.50/month). At $99, that makes each month only $8.25. There is also an option to upgrade to Fix+, where you pay a little more but receive a more expensive Fix in return. It costs up to $20 per item, but you only pay the difference from $11. I have not yet selected the Fix+ option.
A perk of the subscription is that you can purchase other MightyNest products, and they ship free with your Fix! I’ve done that a few times. Plus, most products are available at a reduced “member” price. Feel free to ask me any questions about my Fixes, including any of the products I received in my first year! I still use and love most of those products.
I can invite three people per month to receive a free month of the MightyFix monthly subscription, so let me know via email if you’d like an invite (cottoncashmerecathair (at) gmail (dot) com)! Let me know which of the products is your favorite, and I’ll select that item for you to receive. Note that MightyNest did not pay me or ask me to write this post, and I paid for the subscription myself.
Food Huggers Storage, Set of 5
I just realized that I forgot to grab the largest of the five food huggers for the photos, haha! Fail. The largest one is dark green. Anyway, I really like these. They work exactly as they sound: these silicone wraps “hug” cut produce to keep them fresh in the fridge. I love these as an alternative to plastic bags or containers! I use the large one (not pictured) often on grapefruit (it can be a bit of a struggle to get it in place), and the smaller ones are great for onions, shallots, limes, lemons, etc.! These can also be used to seal glasses, jars, and other open containers. These can go in the dishwasher, but the silicone seems to absorb the smell and taste of our dishwasher detergent. Rinsing after the wash helps as well as letting them lay out in the sun between uses.

All Good Hydrating Body Lotion
If you’re looking for your next body lotion, look no further. Seriously, this lotion is amazing! Not only is the coconut scent lovely (it smells like sunscreen but in a good way; it brings me back to our Cook Islands vacation every time I smell it), it’s incredibly nourishing without being greasy. I love it! I keep it at my desk (the kitchen table) for whenever my hands feel dry. I will likely repurchase this when the time comes, and it would make an excellent gift. Plus, I saved over $3 with the MightyFix subscription, making this one of the better value fixes.

Goodbye Detergent Original Spaghetti Scrub, Set of 2
It took me a while to start using this, but it turns out that even though spaghetti scrubs are weird, they are also awesome! I received a set of two, and the one shown here is the one I haven’t used yet; the other one was wet from hanging near the sink. We use this without soap to clean out the cast iron pan, and it works so well! I love that it is made from peach pits and cotton, so it’s compostable at the end of its life. Some of the reviews said it works great on stainless steel stovetops, so we might try that next!

Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag
I bought a few of these bags a couple of years ago and placed them in various places around the house to absorb odor and excess moisture (the latter of which isn’t too common here in the desert). I keep one in each closet, and I have a set of mini bags for shoes. They are probably due for replacing soon now that I notice they can be reused for up to two years…ha! I was thrilled to get another one in my MightyFix. I stuck this one in our fridge. We used to have a bad habit of forgetting what food we had, resulting in rotting produce, and the bamboo charcoal in this product helps keep those smells and other weird fridge smells at bay. (Luckily, we are much better now at eating what we purchase, and I clean out our food regularly!)

Collapse-It Collapsible Silicone Food Storage Container
We have a ton of food storage containers already, but I really like this one and used it often for work lunches prior to the pandemic. It’s silicone, which isn’t my favorite (as mentioned previously, it takes the taste of dishwasher detergent), but what I really like is the fact that it’s microwave safe and it collapses down to about half its size. That’s a nice feature for storage or if you only need a small amount of space! (I should have photographed it like that…) I had forgotten that it is oven safe up to 500°F, which seems crazy but awesome. I received the 4 cup version with the red trim, and they come in three other sizes: 1 cup (green), 2 cup (turquoise), and 6 cup (grey).

OTHER PRODUCTS I RECEIVED
Bambu 3 piece bamboo set: “give it a rest” spoon, “give it a rest” spatula, pot scraper / $5.50 + $5.50 + $2.75 ($5.23 + $5.23 + $2.61) / We have too many spatulas and cooking spoons as it is, but I’ll keep these around since they are way better than the wood and plastic utensils we have now! I love that the spoon and spatula have built-in rests to keep gunk off the counters.
Bambu bamboo bar board / $11.99 ($11.39) / I have not used this because it requires hand washing and I’m lazy, but it’s an excellent item to have for cutting up/serving small portions.
All Good Herbal Freeze Spray with Arnica / $11.99 ($11.39) / I used this once on my lower abdomen when I was having bad period cramps, and it didn’t really work for me…I felt the cooling sensation, but it never warmed up and felt soothing. My cramps can be pretty brutal, though, and I’ve yet to try it on sore muscles.
GoSili 16 oz silicone to-go coffee mug / $16.99 ($14.44) / Like other silicone products, this takes the taste of dishwasher soap, so we haven’t used this mug that much, and it isn’t getting any use now that Korri and I are both home most of the time. We should probably just hand wash it, but you probably figured out by now that we avoid hand washing anything if we can, haha.
Eco Lunchbox 12 oz medium seal cup / $12.99 ($11.69) / I like the idea of these stainless steel cups, but I don’t use this particular cup that much because the silicone top isn’t very secure to the stainless steel bottom. I did end up purchasing the 48 oz jumbo version for Korri to take leftovers or salads to work, and that version is excellent for that purpose (as long as you don’t put it in the microwave, of course). The silicone top is still not that secure, so you have to be careful when handling.
Meliora laundry set: 8.8 oz lemon laundry powder and stain removal soap stick / $12.99 / My exact set is not available to purchase, but MightyNest does offer a 32 oz laundry powder ($14.39 for members) and the soap stick ($3.99 for members). The starter set I got is available directly from Meliora. I have not used these products yet because we unintentionally amassed enough laundry products (pre-COVID) to last us a couple of years or so…
E-Cloth 2-pack window cleaning cloths / $14.99 ($11.99) / I actually purchased the E-Cloth 8-piece home cleaning set (and a washing bag) a few months after receiving this set because I was intrigued. I’m not sure that they actually do what it says they do (kill germs with just water), especially in a COVID world, but as a lazy person, I like the ease of it!
