Let’s talk bike shorts: Are you a fan? I jumped on the bandwagon a couple of months ago (I wore a pair of black Zella bike shorts as part of my May style sudoku) and recently ordered a pair of the high-rise bike shorts from Girlfriend Collective. I previously owned a pair of GC high-rise leggings, but they were too compressive for my liking (in a size XS) so I sold those and haven’t tried anything else until these shorts. I ordered them in moss, size small so they wouldn’t be too tight. The small is just a touch loose, but they are infinitely more comfortable, especially in the midsection. And my midsection is definitely not getting any smaller right now, lol. (If you saw my Instagram stories, you know why. Ha! #PotatoDiet)

If you’re new to Girlfriend Collective, the brand is known for their sustainable activewear and inclusive sizing. Everything is made from either recycled plastic (from water bottles) or recycled nylon, and when you’re done with your item, you can send it back to GC for recycling. Amazing, right? I’ve been wearing these bike shorts to work from home (or just lounge at home) on the hot days; we try not to run our A/C all day if we can help it, so these help keep me cool. Turns out, unsurprisingly, they also work great for going on walks, as seen here. I cannot yet vouch for their comfort when biking, but I bet they’re great for that, too. I absolutely love the moss color, and now I want more of the colors! I’m tempted to order the matching Paloma bra in moss, but I haven’t decided if I want to get an XS or a small…I’d love to hear your thoughts if you own it or other GC bras!
