Old Pieces, New Outfit
It feels like I haven’t shopped as much this summer as I normally do. Looking at my budget, it doesn’t seem like that because I’ve already maxed out my budget, and I added more new items in June than I did in May, but somehow it feels like I haven’t been shopping at that much. Maybe it’s just that I’m not browsing as much as I usually do? I don’t know. It’s nice; my purchases have felt intentional, which is good considering I tend to go overboard with the sales in the summer months (though I realize summer isn’t over yet, ha). This month, I’ve prioritized purchases from Black-owned small businesses and I cannot wait to receive what I ordered!
Because I haven’t been buying a whole lot of new things, I’ve been wearing and rewearing my old favorites. (I do this a lot in every season, every year…but it feels like I’m doing it more this year. It’s probably another side effect of the pandemic.) This outfit is made up entirely of pieces I’ve owned for at least three years. I’m actually a little surprised that I haven’t blogged this tee and skirt together until now! I had to double check to make sure I didn’t already blog this outfit, haha. It’s full of all the summery things I love: NAVY, linen, airy skirts, straw bags, and shiny gold sandals…and it’s one I’m sure I’ll repeat in the future!
