From the Beach to the Backyard
I haven’t worn my beach pants since our trip to the Cook Islands last fall, and I could not let the summer pass by without pulling them out again! The sad part is…they SHRANK and I had no idea until I put them on for this outfit, lol. The length beforehand was perfect, and now they’re more cropped. They’re also a little bit more snug in the hips (though that could be due to the quarantine weight gain). Sigh. I probably dried them when I washed them after our trip (because the care instructions said it was fine) and I shouldn’t have. Oh well. Heads up if you buy your own pair of tie-waist Huston pull-on paperbag pants, haha.
As mentioned in Friday’s post, I attended Cliquish's Content Sugar virtual conference this past weekend and really enjoyed it! I am already looking forward to next year. On Saturday, we had panel discussions followed by breakout “rooms” in small groups, all over Zoom! It was really fun to meet fellow content creators “face to face” and give and receive feedback (though I’m not sure how useful I was, since I’m so bad at the social media game!). Following the keynote with Jade of LipsticknCurls on Sunday, Cliquish announced their amazing Creators for Equality resource center, which features downloadable resources for creators that are looking to advocate for diversity and inclusivity in the influencer industry as well as resources for brands and agencies that are actively working towards diversity and inclusion internally.
How was your weekend, friends? Did you listen to folklore multiple times like I did? 😂
