You all know that I wear items over and over again. I also wear a lot of complete outfits over and over again, but they only make it to the blog once. I’m a proud outfit repeater! Because I’ve been blogging for so long, though, I often worry that someday I’ll share an outfit that I’ve already shared before without realizing…and that you’ll notice and be annoyed. I know this is irrational; I never remember when other bloggers share very similar outfits! (I accidentally repeated an outfit last year unknowingly: this outfit from August and this outfit from May.) I enjoyed reading Cathy’s thoughts on repeating outfits as a fashion (or style) blogger and completely agree with her. It’s normal to repeat outfits in “real life”, so why not blog repeat outfits?

While we were shooting this outfit the other day, I had a feeling that I had already blogged this top and shorts combination before. And you know what—I had! FOUR years ago, to be exact. (Fun fact: I still own every single item in that outfit!) It’s honestly kind of cool to be wearing an outfit that I initially put together four years ago. I don’t even think that outfit is outdated, either, though the shorts rise is lower than the trends these days.

Even though it’s been super hot (and now smoky, ugh) here lately, it cools off nicely in the evenings, and throwing on a lightweight cardigan is my favorite way to stay comfortable and ward off bugs (if outside). To be honest, I put together this outfit mostly to see if the shorts still fit, lol. They feel a little bit on the short side now, and the rise is a little lower than I prefer nowadays, but I do still love the color! I think it might be time to try to find a suitable replacement…
