Home Style: Fall Decor Refresh
Happy (meteorological) fall, y’all! The past couple of days really felt like fall here in Boise, and even though I’m not completely ready for a new season (because after fall is the dreaded winter, which may be even more of a doozy this year due to the whole pandemic situation), I’m itching to liven up our home with some new fall home decor goodies. I rounded up some of my favorite seasonal home decor items from Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, and Target in the collage above. Some of them could even be used or displayed year-round!
FALL HOME DECOR REFRESH
Number one on the list to get me in an autumnal state of mind is cozy blankets and pillows. I think Korri may have a stroke if I buy more, LOL. I’m so tempted by these faux fur pillows and coordinating faux fur blankets from Anthropologie! And how cute are the pumpkin pillows from Pottery Barn? I really like the warm neutral colors.
Speaking of pumpkins, I love a good pumpkin. They’re the epitome of fall! I buy the small fresh pumpkins when I see them at the store; I’m a sucker for the ones with warts on them! Pottery Barn’s faux pumpkins in different sizes and colors are a great option if you’re not a fan of real pumpkins. Bonus: I purchased a set of these velvet pumpkins in four colors (rust, olive, ivory, gold) from YourHeartsContent on Etsy, and I’m highly considering going back for more. The colors are stunning! The seller also offers velvet and bottle brush trees (think holidays!) as well as velvet eggs.
I also buy a whole lot of candles! I’m a fan of every candle I’ve ever purchased from Anthropologie (currently burning one of their old fall scented candles), and I’m quite tempted by the different scents of these glass jar candles (also available in a mini size). I also bought a variety of candles from the Target-exclusive Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection. I haven’t burned them because they look so pretty on display! The scent of the copper-toned harvest candle sounds heavenly, and it kind of looks like you could use the jar as a wine glass once it’s done and cleaned out…?
A couple of other notable favorites: a faux goldenrod arrangement from Target (if you want a little bit of seasonal color in your space) and a really fun doormat with three cats that spell “BOO” with their tails from Pottery Barn! I’m not a big fan of Halloween (I know, I feel like a fake blogger saying that LOL…it’s just never really been my thing). I don’t like scary movies or parties. I do, however, love stocking up on Halloween candy! We’ve never had trick or treaters and this probably won’t be the first year we do, which means more for me…ha! 😈
