For the first time in what feels like forever, it seems like fall in Boise has lasted for weeks! The trees have taken their sweet time changing colors; they didn’t all change at once, and they didn’t all immediately drop their leaves. Even though I hate commuting to and from work, it hasn’t been all bad thanks to the fall foliage. I always hate when the leaves are all gone!
Another fall foliage bonus is that, being a short person, the ground is just as pretty as the leaves above! I often scope out locations for outfit shoots when driving around town, and sometimes a spot would be PERFECT if only I was 10 feet tall, haha. Now it’s the best of both worlds: the yellowing leaves + what’s left on the ground. They always makes my photos look 100x more interesting.
I joined Anne’s currently link up this month to share what else I’m up to right now!

appreciating: YOU, my readers. ❤️ My cats. My friends and family. My home. My job. November and the holidays in general always get me in my feels about everything.
getting: excited for the upcoming holiday season AND for a much-needed long vacation I have coming up. These next couple of months are going to be an absolute whirlwind between wrapping up work projects, working on blog projects, and getting through my day-to-day! Oh, and I ordered a new computer; mine is seven years old and slowing wayyy down. I’m obsessively tracking it and cannot wait for it to arrive! (I ALMOST FORGOT: Taylor Swift’s re-release of Red is coming soon, too! Cannot wait!!!)
making: ALL the potato recipes, because last week, I purchased a 50 pound bag of Idaho potatoes from a neighbor on NextDoor! The Russet potatoes were grown in eastern Idaho, so they’re the real deal. When we drove through eastern Idaho at the end of our road trip in September, we were in potato country during the harvest and found ourselves behind semi trucks FULL of potatoes. I wanted so badly to ask them for a bag! Haha. Sadly, the majority of the potatoes grown here are shipped elsewhere, so I’ve been on the hunt for someone selling them locally. We made mashed potatoes as the first meal, and they were absolutely heavenly. I hope they last us through the winter!
sharing: what I hope is helpful content for you as we head into the holiday season! I’ve got a whole bunch of review posts lined up this month, and I’m also re-sharing gift guides and other holiday blog posts from years past on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram stories). Browse all of my holiday content through the years!
wearing: fun fall things, like my red knit cardigan, new pima micro-rib tank from Everlane (such a great layer!), denim (naturally), and white sneakers. I’ve been cycling between a few pairs of jeans (the pairs that feel most comfortable) and my favorite knits, and I’ve started wearing my boots again, too. ‘Tis the season for all the fun fall fashion before it’s cold! (Fall always feels too short—I can never get through all of the outfits I want to wear!)
