Happy Valentine’s Day! Korri and I don’t typically do anything for Valentine’s Day, and we didn’t do anything special again today, really. Korri attempted to pick up donuts but the donut shop he likes was closed, so he opted for one of our favorite local coffee shops, Mocha Moose, for drinks instead. I ate food truck fries for lunch—love when the food trucks come to the office!
Today’s outfit was a comfy one for the office. I was surprised at how warm I was in the baby alpaca-wool sweater! I mean, I know it’s a warm sweater, but my office is usually not warm, so I was surprised to feel like I was overheating by the end of the day haha. I wore my Blondo waterproof boots, which ended up being a brilliant decision because it was raining when I got off of work!

This was my first time ever wearing these pants to the office. They’re not bad pants, they just don’t really look (or feel) like office pants. It’s hard to tell in a single still image, but they’re basically loungewear. (I included them in both my April and May 2020 WFH style sudokus.) I was so nervous that someone would call me out LOL. No one did, and the world didn’t end. Phew!
I do have to laugh because I ended up walking around the office WAY MORE than usual. Typically I’m at my desk all day except for when I need to grab food from the breakroom or use the restroom. Today, I was offered a new desk with a giant window!!! So, I went to go check out the space, then I talked to colleagues and showed them the space, and it was a lot of walking around haha. Welp. At least I was extremely comfortable the whole time. 😉

Outfit 8 • Wednesday, February 16th
We woke up to snow on the ground; it had melted off of the road by the time I was up for work, but it didn’t matter anyway because today was a WFH day! I did end up having to go into the office in the evening to pack up my current desk and move everything to my new desk because a bunch of us are moving around the office ahead of a new employee starting next week. It’s weird to be moving into a brand new office! I’m excited for something new after almost five years, though.
Since it was a WFH day, I picked one of my outfits with joggers! The snow inspired me to wear my fuzzy fleece. I didn’t end up changing out of this before heading into the office to move, which was fine since I went later in the evening when no one was there except for the custodial staff.
Outfit 9 • Thursday, February 17th
Thursdays are supposed to be one of my WFH days, but late last week, I was told that I may be headed out into the field to observe a prescribed fire (basically that means a planned-in-advance fire that’s highly monitored by wildland firefighters). I had forgotten about that when I planned my style sudoku because it wasn’t set in stone, and we weren’t even sure we were going until Wednesday!
I’m glad I saved my final jeans outfit for that outing. It ended up working out perfectly! I wore snow boots to keep my feet warm since we were going to be outside for hours, and I also wore a scarf and my warmest coat (not pictured). It warmed up quite a bit during the day, and when the fire was right by us in the staging area, the heat was almost unbearable and my coat had to come off. I shared all about that experience in my Instagram stories and will save them to a highlight!

It’s Boise State gymnastics meet day! Tonight is senior night, which always makes me emotional. I can’t believe the season is already halfway over. BOO.
Anyway, in an effort to not push almost all of my leggings outfits until next week, I opted to wear one today. Leggings are great to wear for a midday walk or bike (Korri and I talked about doing one of those today, not sure which one we’ll end up doing if one at all!). We’re trying to take advantage of all of the nice weather before winter rears its ugly head again next week. (Another BOO!)
